Update - Maintenance has been postponed until the 14th January 2026.

Please note - As of release 7.4.9, Fortinet are strengthening the security around SAML Authentication.  All responses will now require response and assertion signing.  

To comply with this you need to change the setting in Microsoft Azure IdP to enable 'SAML response and Assertion' signing.

If Microsoft Entra ID is used as IdP, select 'Sign SAML response and Assertion' for the signing option under Single sign-on -> SAML Certificates -> Select Edit -> SAML Signing Certificate"

Scheduled - We are upgrading our Auckland FortiGate firewall cluster on Wednesday November 19th between 9pm – 11pm from FortiOS version 7.4.8 to 7.4.9

There will be one or more brief switching breaks during this time, which should go largely unnoticed but might cause VPNs and routing adjacencies to disconnect/reconnect. Please let us know if you need more information.
